No regalbob… You posted it under my “Avanti’s Second” trivia question…A question concerned with a different survey. SUGGESTION…. Start another trivia question related to the ‘survey’ which you have information on!
- Today
-
I posted that under Avanti Sales and you replied to the post. Here it is again. Maybe you can post more details concerning your 'survey'.
-
Postscript… The survey referred to in this trivia question was sent to a few thousand Studebaker Avanti (new car) purchasers in mid-March 1966… This questionnaire was sent by William H. Gottlieb, of the New York City Morrison-Gottlieb public relations firm.
-
The survey which Regalbob posted is not the 1966 Morrison-Gottlieb survey this trivia question was based on…. Regslbob should post more details concerning his ‘survey’.

According to the list isn't Studebaker the answer or am I missing something? Pb

-
I've got it! It's $582
-
I jut send you PM and I see that behind envelope. Plese send me new one 😃
-
You are correct about that! That survey indicated that over half of respondents bought Studebaker Avantis because of advanced styling!
-
I thought one of the reasons the Avanti was developed was to try and shed the stodgy image of the Studebaker lineup and breathe some excitement into their brand. I’ll say false. Mike
-
That's strange since when I click on mine, I see messages both ways.
-
On my '78, I simply cut the frame extensions just forward of the body support point. Installed a '63-'64 grill. Quick and easy. Looks MUCH better IMHO.
-
I saw that too and would love one for my 07. With so few cars made, there are not too many of them out there and I'll bet any that ones that were left in the factory at closing were sent to the trash.

RQB3263/81/305 ..... AFTER STUDYING 3263 PARTIALLY DISASSEMBLED IT WAS CLEAR TO ME THAT THE CAR LOOKED BETTER WITH OUT BUMPERS ...... SO I ELIMINATED THEM FRONT AND REAR ... NO ONE EVEN NOTICES THAT THERE GONE... I DID THIS OVER 10 YRS AGO AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN ... SEVERAL OTHER MODS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED TO THE BUMPER AREA ..... CAN YOU SPOT THEM ?.....BEST WISHES ....BILL IN FLORIDA

Thanks Leo.............Yes, I'm well aware of the envelope . When I click on it, I see incoming messages, but I do not see any out bound messages.
-
Agree, but it does play hard into the equation.
-
Yep.. you are correct!……. (81% of respondents owned a 2nd vehicle…..of those 33% owned a GM)
-
I'm going with # 3, some GM vehicle

I'm getting close to reuniting my Avanti II's body with its new Frame, The simplest thing to do with the much maligned buffers is to simply re install 'em and utilise the body-bolt station built into them to shim and secure the front panels. Despite my penchant for originality, I've wondered about eliminating them and fabricate a substitute mounting. Do any members have any thoughts or advice on this matter. On another tack, does anybody have any info on what is actually inside of those Buffers that makes 'em work?
