Postscript… The survey referred to in this trivia question was sent to a few thousand Studebaker Avanti (new car) purchasers in mid-March 1966… This questionnaire was sent by William H. Gottlieb, of the New York City Morrison-Gottlieb public relations firm.

In the Morrison-Gottlieb survey which was sent to buyers of new Studebaker Avantis, over half of the respondents indicated they purchased the car because of Studebaker’s strong high performance image…..True?

Check that…. The diameter of rear sway bar on the ‘85’s is larger…. I believe you need their part number 1702280. Front bar larger also

With the Avantis huge rear window, tinting it makes good sense for some sun/heat deflection!

The problem with surveys is that it’s difficult, if not impossible, to get 100% participation.

The survey actually indicated 1.75%… I decided to round it off!!
