RQB3263/81/305 .... OK POPPING THE HOOD TO LET HOT AIR OUT IS A GOOD IDEA ESPECIALL IF YOU ARE RUNNING HIGHER HP THAN MY 305.... SO WHAT I DO IS IN APRIL +- I REMOVE THE FOUR LATCH BOLTS AND PLACE 3/4 INCH ALUMINUM SPACERS UNDER THE LATCHES AT EACH OF THE 4 LATCH BOLT POSITIONS.... THE HOOD WILL LATCH NORMALLY AND SECURLY ....THE HOOD WILL RIDE UP 3/4 INCH GIVING HEAT ANOTHER PATH TO EXIT.....THIS ONLY REQUIRES 4 BOLTS 3/4 INCH LONGER THAN ORIGINAL AND 10 MINUTES EACH WAY....... SO ABOUT NOVEMBER ( IN FLORIDA) I REVERSE THE SPACERS/BOLTS FOR OUR WINTER (PUT THE SPACERS ON TOP OF THE LATCH REINSTALL THE LONGER BOLTS THRU THE SPACERS TILL SPRING TIME..... WORKS FOR ME ON RQB3263 FOR MANY SEASONS ..... BILL IN FLORIDA P.S. FORGET THE PINS

I HAVE THE ORIGIAL RADIATOR WITH DUAL 12" ELECTRIC FANS FROM DUREAL....EITHER FAN WILL DO THE JOB JUST FINE BY ITS SELF.....REDUDUNCY WILL BRING YOU HOME IN A PINCH....ALSO I HAVE A 16" PUSHER FAN IN FRONT ON THE AC CONDENSER WIRED THRU A RELAY (ALL FANS ARE ON RELAYS AND I CARRY SPARES) TO THE A6 COMPRESSOR CLUTCH AVAILABLE IN A PINCH BUT IVE NEVER USED IT....... RQB3263/81/305 I ORDERED AND RECEIVED FROM SUMMIT RACING SSBC-USA DRUM TO DISC BRAKE CONVERSION KIT P/N A 136BK AT $816.00 IT WILL BE INSTALLED AT MYERS STUDEBAKER IN OHIO NEXT WEEK I HOPE .... I WILL REPORT ON THIS PROJECT HERE AS TO ACTUAL DIFICULTY/FITMENT/ QUALITY AS I HAVE BEEN ASSURED BY SSBC THAT IT IS PERTY MUCH A DIRECT BOLT IN CONVERSION... HA HA THATS WHY IM HAVING MIKE MYERS DO THE WORK AND HALF A DOZEN OTHER ITEMS WHILE I AM THERE.... ON MY INSTALL THE SPOILER OVERLAPPED ONTO THE BODY PANEL SUFFICIENTLY TO SIMPLY DRILL THRU BOTH AND SECURE WITH (6 OR 8) 3/16 S/S MACHINE SCREWS WASHERS AND NYLOC NUTS.....VERY EASY..... GOOD LUCK.... SEND MORE PICS .....BILL IN FLORIDA
