I think they are all wired. the remotes are very nice however, and having 5 channel output is good as well as sirius radio. Also usb inputs and Ipod too. all included with remote input jacks.

Infinity is a good brand. nice find. I use the Rockford Fosgate RFX-5000. It too is a marine remote mount receiver. But, the bluetooth is optional.
No need for the built in display on the infinity, if you are mounting it out of sight.

True, the factory finish on the bottom side showed some of the weld marks and seams. A good rechromer would take care of that, thus making them interchangeable.

true some R3.'s and so forth had the B numbers as well as the R numbered blocks, and were stamped back by the distributor as well

I've seen both used. Mainly the lower profile single unit on Avantis, and the dual filters on Lark types.

popping out of gear is usually an indication of 1) either an out of alignment bell housing, or 2) too much endplay caused by wear on the thrust washers, 3) miss adjusted shift linkage, 4) oil soaked motor mounts that are deteriorated .

The big ole' tag on the front!!! the idle screw seal retainers, no top vents, no front vents no rear vents, the added sealing channels milled into the bottom to pressurize the throttle shafts, the numbers stamped into the left mounting leg. Aluminum sealing washer on the center rear screw. Probably many more that I can't think of right now

If not, they should have, I have seen silver Avantis, and thought they looked very nice.

A 300 hp is about as wild as you would want on todays gas. with 10:1 compression. The next version up had 11.5:1 and wouldn't operate without racing fuel today.

True, my mindset is always will it work and fit. Like you say, if it's the only set you have to work with you'd be fine using them.

Seems to me, the Dupont is richer in saturation. ( deeper and a little less metallic)
