Wanted driver side front armrest for 63-64

While re-doing upholstery,  I discovered that the driver armrest has deteriorated.  Hopefully, someone has one to spare. Plan B is to make one out of fiberglass using the bad one as a mold.

Note that the '63 and '64 Avanti armrests are different, mainly in the hand pull.

I am aware. I believe I can make either work with minor mods. Early Avanti II may work as well.

This one is for a 63 before the change, so that would be preferable.

The 73 may work. Does the 73 have the inset in the armrest to open and close the door or does it have the strap?

A '73 would use the strap with no indent in the armrests.  Avanti Motors began the strap at RQB1574 in 1970.

Here is a picture of what I am looking for. This is passenger side. Driver side is very compromised. FWIW, this Avanti has the 813 BKV option and the black upholstery is correct.

Gunslinger is correct. The armrest I have do not have the pocket like pictured above. They are smooth, I do not have the covers just the backer and the foam pads. If you can not find others I am sure these could be modified to work. Dave

Sorry for the late reply. These are cardboard back with foam. I think the pockets could be cut in. Let me know what you think  Dave
