Yes, that should work out well… I have seen black & red speckled industrial carpeting which looked to me to be quite similar to Stude Avanti carpeting… but if that could be made into a suitable Avanti carpeting is a question I can’t answer!
-
Thanks a bunch MFG. At the chagrin of purists. I even included the Studebaker 'S' emblem in my parts order.. I know it's not correct and goes against my own principles somewhat, but I just plain want it there. 🙃 I'd love to put Studebaker script Badges on it too but I'll resist that notion !

I also like that look… so I added one to my ‘83, taking the measurement from a ‘63. The front edge of the hood ornament is back 2 1/2” from the front edge of the hood.

My 1981 Avanti II didn't come with the Studebaker Bonnet Ornament set (though it was an option) but I really like the look so I bought one to put on. To expedite placement of holes, would someone be so kind as to provide the measurement from the front edge of the Bonnet to the front edge of the potmetal ornament, please? Thanks.

So, there might be two different sizes of fuel pumps used on out cars. I have used this kit before with good results, however on a few ones I tried using this kit on, the top diphragm seal was the wrong size. Then and Now Yesteryear parts also has a good rebuild kit .

Steve, yeah I know where Elmer City is. That would work if you wanted to pack one of those home for me. Just need to make the deal with Michael Phillips. Mike

I used one of these to rebuild an R1 fuel pump and it worked perfectly. brad Posted October 13, 2020 Most kits are junk. They do not support the valves with a cage like the originals valves had. This is the ONLY kit I use, and they are perfect. https://www.deadnutson.com/carter-high-performance-x-fuel-pump-rebuild-kit/

Nice music… but not the ‘number’ unfortunately !
-
Dave Thibeault doesn’t have any?
-
Are there any kits available anymore or a worth while substitute kit?
-
Since the carpet has worn out and rotted over time, and the red & black carpet is not available (have not found after many years), I am happy to exchange it for a black one according to the serial number.

It put them back on their heels to the tune of $9475.00

Mark i am driving. I am 90 miles west of Spokane but go there often for grand kids activity’s. I could bring it back for you. I won’t be back home until after the 4th of October. Steve.
-
Mark, I think he said it was $150. Are you driving back? Mike

Michael, what would be the shipping cost to Washington state? You can use zip code 98290 for your estimate. The question was asked a few months ago in a different thread on the topic, but you didn't answer that question.

Space saver spare for 1985 - 1989?
George Rohrbach replied to George Rohrbach's topic in 1984-91 Avanti
I figured out that I might be able to use 1981-1988 Monte Carlo. I will ask around at the National. If still no direct knowledge answer there, I will check out the size of what is available, that will work, including fitting in the well. Thanks for the tips. -

Thank you for your answer. I am loading up for the National Meet, so I will deal with this, after it is over. -
Correct answer! In fairness, the question is a bit obscure for ‘newer’ Avanti owners.

You would think with over 300 views someone else could give the correct answer. Command Center

Regnalbob, Ronmanfredi, and I can act pretty juvenile sometimes… My apologies…. Good luck with your engine replacement.
