TimH Posted December 10 Report Posted December 10 Hi everyone, I’m working on a 1963 Avanti I bought this previous summer and it is, of course, missing various bits and pieces. In the interests of having a defogger and even cabin heat, I am trying to find out if the heating system was used in other vehicles or if there is such a thing as a generic system I can buy and bolt in. Thanks in advance for your expertise and knowledge, Tim
TimH Posted December 12 Author Report Posted December 12 Everything under the dash! Heater core, housing, fan motor… The previous owner blocked off the hose connectors at the engine and removed all the pieces under the dash - because of terminal rust
AG-R3 Posted December 12 Report Posted December 12 Here's the Shop Manual section. It shows what you need.. http://studebaker-info.org/Avanti/ASM/avantishopclimatizer/avantishopclimatizer.html
John Brissette Posted December 12 Report Posted December 12 I suggest that you contact Jon Myer. 740-674-4897. He is located in Duncan Falls Ohio and has Avanti Parts cars, and a plethora of Studebaker/Avanti parts
Nelson Posted December 16 Report Posted December 16 (edited) I don’t know where you are located but you might try Keith Graham in Apache Junction, Arizona. He has an Avanti he is parting out. Edited December 16 by Nelson
