The last production Studebaker Avanti, serial R5643, has just under 5,000 miles on its odometer…..True?

Splitting hairs here, but the answer is actually FALSE…. Reportedly this Avanti has just under 6,500 miles on its odometer!

Actually, R5643, the last 1964 Avanti has 6,342.9 original miles, photographed multiple times for Avanti Magazine.

Both of these ultra rare Stude Avantis are ‘over the top’, however, I must say that the turquoise over turquoise R3 is extra spectacular!!

So these cars were labeled "Supercharged" with no factory identifiers. Probably too late in the game for something like that.

I worked on both these cars. The one in question hasn't run in many years. I wouldn't attempt it without going through it completely. The Turquiose one I recently refreshed the valvetrain.
