pantera928
I was greasing the front end on my 1980 and found 16 fittings. Are there more? 2 on each upper A-arm 2 on each lower A-arm 1 on each king pin a total of 4 on the steering link arms 2 more on the linkage at the front frame member Am I missing any? Is there a way to grease the front pivot on the frame? I see no fitting there. Thanks
ronmanfredi
The grease fitting for the front pivot is accessible from the back side of the cross member. There is a hole there and the fitting is inside the hole.
pantera928
I checked there I believe but will check again. THanks
64studeavanti
Often, the zerk is broken off when pivot is removed without removing the zerk first.

Good to know. I will check for that. I do not believe this pivot has ever been removed as the car only has 26K miles. Thanks
Zedman
The Steering Bellcrank Bearing is supposed to have a long series grease nipple in the rear facing side- if it's busted no good or not there see if you can get an 90 deg angled one. Might make greasing from above or below easier, perhaps.
