  5. RQB3263 81/305....i jumped into it this evening ...removal took about 40 min with help... seat bottom came right out....seat back has 2,  1/4 in bolts with nuts so req 2 people to remove...... back panel had 15 screws and came out easy and provided good access to connector hose..... as was described here mine was severely cracked and leaking..... remove the clamps.... remove 3 screws from filler spout next to the gas cap and pull it all out together........the rubber connector had to be split with razor knife to get it off........ and thats where i am now.....almost..... maybe someone could explain the fact that the tank neck is 2.040  dia  and  the spout is 2.260 dia......thats almost a 1/4 inch difference....  .220 inch diff to be exact on RQB3263.....im not comfortable pulling that much with a clamp...... suggestions please ..... and I will detail my fix  here no matter what it is ......BILL RQB3263

  6. The pics show the fabed  mount (simple 1/4 in plate steel with part of the original mount bolted to it)sitting on top of the X member....it was later moved to under the X member to gain clearance for the speedo cable .... that also lowered the tail shaft about 1/2 inch  etc to no effect....BILL RQB3263

  7. RQB3263 81/305    Whats left to be said.... I did this swap 4 yrs ago and was just one day of hard work with a strong friend.....my 700 has worked perfect ever since....i did re-tube the drive shaft but cant remember if I leightened it or shortened it ....(CRS)...the shift letters dont align up but I can count to 3 so its OK....the rear mount req mod ...pic attached ...a new speedo cable from Calif  6 inch longer perfect  and no speedo error...im tacing 1700 at 65 MPH... no mods to the tunnel....BILL RQB3263

  9. RQB3263 81/305  First check the module out put....easy  ....use a plastic handle screwdriver and check for spark at two or more spark plugs.... no spark its probably the module.....remove the old one and match it up......i did it many times a couple on roadside until i bought an OEM module and carry spares now.... see previous pic.....good luck.....BILL
