It was the last Avant assembled/built in June 1962 (the first month of production).  

That probably isn't what you are seeking.  How about when the method of attaching the rear window changed, that was fairly early on.

In c.1974, I purchased a 1963 Avanti from the original owner.  He was a known TV personality.  He had repainted his turquoise Avanti in a chocolate brown.
