The new Avanti Motor Corporation made a major change by discontinuing the use of Chevy Monte Carlo frames in favor of Chevy Caprice frames....Why did they decide to do this?

1) Monte frames no longeravailable.......2) Caprice frames fit better (less work)........3) Caprice frames were less expensive to obtain.....or......4) Caprice frames were beefier/stronger

You say that it isn't no. 1, but I agree with Paul (r1lark) on no. 1.

Paul and Gary agree with each other that #1 is the correct answer....Are they correct?

I think it was strength (and length) for the 4 door and  subsequent Avanti development.
