mfg Posted January 7, 2018 Report Posted January 7, 2018 (edited) The new Avanti Motor Corporation made a major change by discontinuing the use of Chevy Monte Carlo frames in favor of Chevy Caprice frames....Why did they decide to do this? 1) Monte frames no longeravailable.......2) Caprice frames fit better (less work)........3) Caprice frames were less expensive to obtain.....or......4) Caprice frames were beefier/stronger Edited January 7, 2018 by mfg

murph the surf Posted January 8, 2018 Report Posted January 8, 2018 I think it was strength (and length) for the 4 door and subsequent Avanti development.
