It takes a bit of time but it's not a hard job. Check the bottom of the roll bar while you are there. Sometimes they are rusted out as well.

Paul, I have measurements for the steel if you decide to build your own.

I have a friend in Arizona that just cut a set out of an Avanti II. I imagine he would sell them at a reasonable price. They’re in totally rust free shape. Maybe light surface rust. I helped him cut them out.

Thanks, I have a set setting on the garage floor. Now I just have get up enough 

nerve to tackle the job.
