Guest dapy
The name AVANTI and of course the rear view mirror. There is always someone behind you in Italy. That 'bump' you felt was a pick pocket not a Fiat.
Gunslinger
From the movie "Gumball Rally" as the driver ripped the mirror off and dumped it..."The first rule of Italian racing is what's behind you does not matter!"
warren55
The steering wheel and the idiotic cow catcher shock absorbers? Ooops. Just realized you said interior. Leather for the seats. Edited November 20, 2014 by warren55
Guest dapy
Gunny, In Texas the later Gumball 3000 was called "The Texas Outlaw Run". Yes, Virginia there was a movie GUMBALL RUN. (1976) It did not cast an Avanti. Who was in it? What car won? The romantic Ferrari driver was Raul Julia. I made a wild guess. Gunny nailed it. Gunslinger
I believe the main character in the movie was Michael Sarrazin who drove a Cobra. Raul Julia was driving a Ferrari I think. I think the Cobra won but it's been years since I've seen the movie.

Guest dapy
Benito made the trains run on time. He used the now famous Veglia clock. Some have it and some don't.
mfg
You have a different clock than my 73 has in it, then. Probably, mine is factory installed, but no doubt Avanti bought from different vendors.
