RQB3263/81/305 ..... YES ..... I DID MINE LAST YEAR during the stainless steel exhaust installation...with the old original exhaust out of the way it was easy...and had never been off since 1981 .... ....it was unbelievably clean ...but still very worth doing ....30 minute job.... have fun ....bill in florida

RQB3263/81/305 ..... 3263 IS AN 81 and has always been somewhat squirrely..... Ive discussed this with every x-pert I can and its always the same .... the front suspension is 50's vintage stude Lark king pin ..... you can rebuild it, tighten everything up, keep it greased, but it will always float....some more than others but this problem if built into this ancient design ....to my knowledge there is no reasonable fix .... replace the rag joint, adjust, tighten, lube often and live with it....... this eliminates texting and driving ..... if you find a solution short of a frame off engine out restoration we all would like to hear about it... RQB3263/81/305 I SPOKE WITH MIKE MYERS IN OHIO AND WILL BE MAKING a pilgrimage when it warms up for him to work on 3263 ....now that will enclude an edelbrock 500cfm and maybe a new manifold..... maybe a heater core or leak correction.... rear disc brake conversion dana 44, ... LED panel lights .... ...good plan ....that ought to be enough ...for 2023 ....bill ( waiting for warmer weather)

NATIONAL BUILT IT FOR ME A LONG TIME AGO.....YOU CAN THEN FOLLOW ALL THE EXTRA WIRES TO THERE UNITS AND EITHER REMOVE (AS I DID) THE UNIT OR CUT
OFF ALL THE EXTRA WIRES AND DISCARD..... WORKED FOR ME PROB 10 YRS AGO..... CONTACT NATIONAL THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE DISCUSSING .....

AS I stated here earlier.... install a non electronic q-jet ..... however.... that may not solve all your problems as I have discovered..... my GURU tells me that there are two lead plugs in the bottom of the float bowl that eventually begin leaking... resulting in slow draining of the float bowl and extended cranking time to re fill the float bowl from the mechanical pump.....after that it operated normally.... this is how mine operated after it sets up a day or two .... there are several fixes available.... GURU SAYS NON OF THEM WORK.... either live with it or replace the carb...... I live with it .....As the non electric q-jet works just fine .... keep in touch..... BILL

RQB3263/81 After more study the Summit # BK1629-DS IS listed for the DANA 60 not our DANA 44 ,,sorry...... TSB-A136BK IT APPEARS TO BE THE ONLY ONE WITH 5 BACKING PLATE BOLTS and is listed for DANA44

i haven't called them yet..... 2 part numbers I am interested in are
TSB-A136BK AND SUM-BK1629-DS
THERE PIC SHOWS A 5 BOLT BACKING PLATE BRACKET .... may call them later today and will report here.......... BILL

RQB3263/81 I spoke to JEGS this morning and while no absolute answer tech believes the 5th bolt is eliminated .... here are a couple p/n from JEGS ....633-RC3001 AND

RQB3263/81 ....IV BEEN BROUSING THE JEGS WEB SITE FOR DANA 44 DISC BRAKE CONVERSION KITS AND AM MORE CONFUSED THAN EVER .... the kit pictured show only 4 bolt backing plate for dana 44/.....does that mean that for there kit we leave the 5th bolt out? ... ill call them but I bet they dont have the answer ... i will post results here .....BILL

RQB3263/81/305 IM GLAD TO SEE MORE SPOILERS GOING ON ...THEY LOOK GREAT ..... BTW I DID NOT USE ANY OF THE BRACKETS PROVIDED.....
ON MY INSTALL THE SPOILER OVERLAPPED ONTO THE BODY PANEL SUFFICIENTLY TO SIMPLY DRILL THRU BOTH AND SECURE WITH (6 OR 8) 3/16 S/S MACHINE SCREWS WASHERS AND NYLOC NUTS.....VERY EASY..... GOOD LUCK.... SEND MORE PICS .....BILL IN FLORIDA
