mfg
All R3 and R4 Studebaker Avanti engines were equipped with dual breather rocker arm covers, and an oil pan side breather tube capped by another breather cap......True?
1963r2
I think the R3 was , not sure of the R4.
brad
All, is a tricky word. So, I'll say false. I will say they are not just added breathers as a regular V8. They were from the OHV 6 and chromed. The "tube" in the valve covers is larger in diameter, and requires the larger breather cap to fit. I will agree with Brad and say that "all" is the key word. I do not believe that the early R3s (299s before regular production R3s) were so equipped.
