Can you post a photo of the drivers side?

thx

Very interested myself in the drivers side. IIRC, the gas line is 3/8" steel line so you could just reposition it using 3/8" brake line and the appropriate brass flared fittings. Compression fittings would also work if you aren't familiar with flaring/blending lines.

I have Sanderson block hugger headers on my '70 Avanti.  In 1977-'78 time frame Avanti Motors ran out of original steering boxes and substituted one from a fork-lift...whether than would cause clearance issues for headers after that time I don't know but it could well be possible.  Here's a link to the Sanderson headers Sanderson block huggers.

If tube headers can't be used there's always the old reliable Chevy cast iron "ram's horn" exhaust manifolds which perform quite well.  They might be found used in wrecking yards or can be bought as new reproductions from Chevy/Corvette vendors.
