9snickers Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 I am looking to replace teh factory wheels and tires with radial tires, does anyone have a reccomendation on a steel wheel that will accept the original hubcap and new radial tire?
studegary Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 There are Ford wheels/rims that fit, like from older Crown Victorias and some Rangers. You do need to use the larger Ford lug nuts.
iamrgh Posted April 14, 2018 Report Posted April 14, 2018 Dave T sells Ford rims already powder coated in the correct white. I bought a set and am pleased (Yes, did get the bigger lugnuts)

Paul K. Posted April 24, 2018 Report Posted April 24, 2018 RE: Tires, I have been running Hankooks and their H724 Optimo radial but I heard the H724 will be discontinued soon. Because of that rumor, I just installed a set of their new H737 Kinergy PT on another car (non Avanti) Very happy with them.
MARK Posted April 24, 2018 Report Posted April 24, 2018 Dave Thibeault is the way to go with inquiries. I have purchased two sets for my 64R2 Avanti and my 63GTHawk. They arrive from California; shipping is expensive, in very nice shape though the first set had thumb prints inside on the powder coating where the wheel is mounted
