Updated water pump pb The fuel filter is definitely one!...but I must admit that I never realized a change was made to the water pump! can anyone think of the others?

Not true!...A change from a fully chrome plated to a painted (probably furnished in bare steel) valley cover would normally call for a different part number. That indeed is a 'mechanical change'!
