DON GURY
Another opportunity. 1990 4 door. Anyone know where I can purchase a blower control module? I have found used ones for sale but not one that has not been used. Any help would be appreciated Thanks..
Gunslinger
You can Google Delco plus the part number and may get some hits. Failing that…take it to a GM dealer parts department. They can plug the Delco number into their computer and see not only if the part is still available but what…if any…dealers in the country may have any sitting in inventory. That’s assuming GM hasn’t changed their numbering system.

IndyJimW
GM - 16061602 AC Delco - 15-72530 Standard - RU540 Good luck Jim Wood
Stacey
Hard to think that any auto parts store that carries Dorman parts would not have that piece. Has to be something that would fail every so often and a generic made part would work? At least that is where I would check second, the dealer that sells GM products first. Ron B
Their is a replacement part which is a updated GM module. Looks different on the inside but fits and works. My local repair shop found it at I believe Auto Zone and told me the part number and to go pick it up and install myself as they would charge me much much more for them to do it. I will try and find the box it came in, but am not near where I have it stored. Next trip I'll look for it. Ron B
UPDATE: It seems I bought the module/resistor from Advance auto parts not Auto Zone. carquest is the after market of Advance. the part number is RUC1181 ON THE BOX. The sales receipt says blower resistor 1 ea CQ 12450354.The resistor has DELCO 16061602 STK6994J - 161 SD 8914 JAPAN on the resistor I took out of the car. Interesting note is it has a stick on price tag of $70.00. I believe it failed once before and the previous owner found it at a swap meet. I paid Advance $211.49 plus tax in 2023 for my new part.
