Rick Allen
I have a friend that has a 3.31 TT from a '63 Hawk, is that the same as the Avanti rear?,,,
wapanzica
It would fit but it would not have traction bar mounts and that would be a problem.
sailingadventure
I have one with 400 miles on it. I bought it new and tried it in my R-2 4 speed but it was a little sluggish starting off. I put my original one back in and the new one is sitting on a rack in my shop. I`m pretty sure it`s a 3.

You can fabricate the mounts and weld them on. No big deal.
wapanzica
Thank you all for your help. We are thing about the option in NC but that is a long drive. I think we may have options in the Midwest. John, Thank you for the advice.
Dwight FitzSimons
The traction bar mounts have been reproduced and can be welded on. Dave Thibeault in MA should still have them. --Dwight
