Thursday night at 6 pm. Eastern, Fox Sports' FS1 channel showed a 50 minute documentary on their NASCAR Race Hub program, "Paula Murphy: Undaunted."    It runs just for 60 minutes and has a number of shots and video of the #8 Avanti, along with the Lark and Hawks at Bonneville.  But much of the program dealt with her racing in many other cars and tracks, Indy, drag racing, sport cars, etc.

Very little actually on the Avanti Bonneville, the Transcontinental runs and Granatelli Avanti related, but Andy and Joe Granatelli are mentioned and shown often.

If you subscribe to Fox Sports FS1 on your cable TV, or the channel's internet streaming service (online or through Apple TV) you can view it there.

It also is viewable on the Fox Sports website through this link below for a 60 minute free preview, unless you already subscribe to the channel's website, or subscribe to see the video without the "free preview" title superimposed at the top.

Paula Murphy: Undaunted

Thanks for posting Lew! Lots of great video and pictures -- lots of Studebaker pics, Andy G. pics, various STP race cars, etc. Even though I was big into NASCAR in the '70s, I did not know about Paula's speed records set at Talladega. I also didn't realize she did so much drag racing in funny cars. Very informative video.

Wasn't Paula almost killed in a rocket powered dragster?
