What's the safety related "MUST DO" modification which concerns the ignition switch on Studebaker Avantis and also 'A' series Avanti ll's?

Isolate the hot wire from chassis ground?

There are some pictures and how to protect the ignition switch under the dash.

Stop it shorting out on the dash metal crossbar.

Yep, you gents got it!! 👍

Simple way to accomplish this is to get a 3" length of 5/16" fuel hose...slice it lengthwise, then push the hose over the edge of crossbar (a bit of glue inside hose is a good idea!)
