If ever replacing the race load springs inside a Paxton supercharger, it's important to position the springs so that their ends are facing out.....away from the center of the supercharger......True?

It's more important that they all be equal tension and spaced so they exert even pressure on the races.

They probably recommend a position for the ends but the end result would be all the ends pointed toward or away from the c/l.

Yes, Studebaker did recommend a position, however, the rest of your answer is, unfortunately, incorrect!

End toward the center?

Some of them!....ANSWER....There are fourteen race load springs....... Alternating, seven are to be set in position with their ends turned 'in' towards the center, the other seven should be set in position with their ends turned 'out'!
