Not sure if I understand the question exactly but the 64 Lark type was sorta silver blue or gun blueing color not the mat black.

YEP!.. you got it..Lark inside instrument housings had the blueish color you described...whereas Studebaker Avanti instrument inner housings are painted an off-white or light tan color....The engineers must have felt that color worked better with the Avantis red instrument lighting.
