Gunslinger Posted August 30, 2014 Report Share Posted August 30, 2014 I don't know about an inspection sticker, but in at least one state (California), an Avanti could have been denied being titled due to not having enough characters in its serial number, which accounts for some Avantis having an extra letter at the end of their normal Studebaker number. I believe that you are correct in saying there was an 'alert' on the loud exhaust (at least in certain states)....but that's not exactly what we are looking for here...Any other opinions?
