Thanks anyway, cmholm - at least people are still looking!

A jigsaw to cut a big hole in the hood of that Avanti? Cause once you install that tall GH 2-bbl manifold and tall air box, I doubt if the hood will close.
-
Road draft tube, since when you do away with the R2 carb you no longer have a PCV system?
-
Then it would need to be some sort of carb adapter, to adapt the 4-bbl intake to accept the 2-bbl carb and enclosure.
-
You would at least need the Golden Hawk 2-barrell manifold. (But more importantly, why would someone want to do this?
)

Assuming "bolt in" means every fastener, wire connection, bracket will mate up with no modification.........False.

I know that R-5051 was bought new by Bob Caser in October of 1963 and he still owns it. (The car was originally delivered to my family's dealership then traded to a dealer in NJ from whom Bob purchased it.)

We will have to 'agree to disagree' on this one.
-
I will say false. I'm pretty sure the outlet (back plate) has to be 're-clocked' to line up with the 4 barrel bonnet. Also, there is no provision on the GT to operate the high/low ratio solenoid. Plus, it just won't look right

Improved rear quarter window latch.
-
Ash tray (receiver)?

Assuming the "assembly" includes a bulb, the answer is false. The '54s were 6 volt.
-
IIRC, it was urethane but was Deltron by Ditzler. So answer is false...............

If it's a R2 or R3 and doesn't have the proper fuel pump with the fitting for the boost signal (or if someone has disconnected the boost signal line running down fuel pump) -- it could feel like it's running out of gas under boost.

Well, I might get push-back on this one..............but I've noticed that when you try to get maximum caster adjustment, the rubber dust seal seems to limit how far you can go. I've often toyed with the idea of cutting the dust seal to see how much extra (if any) caster could be gained. Sure, I know that this may increase the chance of dirt/water contamination, which is why I haven't tried it; but if you grease the pins per the shop manual's recommended frequency, this might at least minimize the contamination.
Long story short, my answer is yes, by cutting off the dust seal.

I thought it meant 'primed'.

Below is my list that I based the guess of 68 on. Obviously I missed five. I had 68 until mfg said not to include the starter motor, so that knocked me down to 63.
My memory of the PVC is that there is not a spring in it, but I'm too lazy to go pull one out and look at it.
Per the instructions, thermostatic type springs are not included, although I might argue that the spring in the cooling system thermostat is not the 'thermostatic' part - the wax pellet is. Also, I have left off the lower radiator hose spring since the hose didn't seem to fit the criteria of 'engine assembly'.
mfg, we are waiting to see your list...................
Rocker Shaft Springs 6
Valve Springs 16
Oil Pressure Relief 1
Distributor Cap (center carbon) 1
Fuel Pump 2
Blower Belt Arm 1
Throttle Return 2
Blower 15
Distributor Centrifugal Advance 2
Distributor Vacuum Advance 1
Alternator Brush 2
Throttle Kicker 1
PVC Valve ?????
Carburetor --
Vacuum Piston Spring 2
Idle Cam Adj Screw 3
Accelerator Pump 2
Idle Adjust Screw 1
Secondary Throttle Return 1
Step Up Rod 2
Throttle Flex 1
Fast Idle Cam 1
Choke Shaft (3725 only) ? (decided not to include but probably should have)
Total 63
-
Well, if we aren't including the starter I've only come up with 63. And this number assumes we are not including the lower radiator hose (coil spring inside hose). So I'm going to say the correct answer is 68 figuring I missed five others.
Regardless of whether I'm right or wrong, at the end we all want to see your list mfg so we can critique it!

Clarifying questions -
- are you considering a cutch disc and pressure plate as part of the "engine assembly"?
- are you considering the expansion tank as part of the "engine assembly"?
- are you considering a power steering pump as part of the "engine assembly"?
For items 2. and 3., they are both shown on the engine assembly picture on page 3 in the 'Engine' section of the Avanti Workshop Manual, so that is why I'm asking that.
Gotta make sure we all know the extent of the engine assembly..........
-
Well, I was going to weigh in on this, but decided against it when I saw that Gary said false. Gary has forgotten more about Avantis than I know, for sure!
But..........assuming the '67 Avanti was using a Dana 44 with flanged axles (like the R3 Avantis received?), and seeing that the disc brake rear drums and the drum brake front drums were the same diameter........I'll go out on a limb here and say true.
-
The brackets on the rear axle are the same, true.
-
The supercharger lube.
-
The 'built in' belt groove?
-
Distributor cap hold down clips?

Sens - in fact, the Pichon Parat badges on the Avanti sedan prototypes even say "Sens".
