Studebaker chief engineer Eugene Hardig wanted the Avanti body to be made of steel for all the following reasons EXCEPT.............?

1) Fiberglass wasn't a Studebaker legacy.......2) Fiberglass wasn't 'consistent'........3) Fiberglass wasn't part of Studebaker's 'inner experience'......or.......4) Fiberglass wouldn't be strong enough to 'hold up'

Well, I can't answer this because I thought Gene Hardig was the one who decided the body couldn't reasonably be built in steel, and so made the decision to use fiberglass.

Oh well........................:(

It seems Eugene wanted to use steel, however, the money for tooling (and the time) simply wasn't there!

Any other thoughts on this trivia question?
