JWL1940
Looking for suggestions for a compact spare tire for my 63 Avanti. Conventional sized spare (205x75x15) is too large for the well. Want a spare, but one that will fit in the well. Thanks. (o{}o)
Gunslinger
I have a donut spare tire for my '70. I found a NOS tire/rim still wrapped in cellophane on eBay from a Jeep with the same bolt circle. It cost me $30 with shipping. It leaves lots of extra room in the spare tire well for other items. studegary
ISTR using Chrysler compact spares in Avantis. Of course you would need the correct bolt circle and general size.

Gunslinger
Not really. I looked for a temporary spare that was the correct size as far as diameter and bolt circle. It's been enough time that I think it was from a Jeep which is Mopar but I can't rely on my memory specifically that it was a Jeep.
Avanti83
Google Jeep bolt pattern size and you'll get a good idea of what to look for. You are looking for 114.3mm or 4.5". Also be sure that if you have Positraction you get pretty close in size. Posi's don't do well with different size wheels installed.
JWL1940
I decided to buy five new Mopar type wheels and new P205-75R x 15 radial tires and use a new regualr tire for the spare. Thanks for all the help. (o[]o)
