John Brissette Posted Wednesday at 10:12 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:12 AM The original switch has failed as near as I can tell. What have you used to replace the mercury switch, which to my limited knowledge, are no longer available (NLA)? Thanks John
Gunslinger Posted Wednesday at 04:42 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:42 PM Electronics suppliers and Amazon have mercury switches. They won’t look like the originals but will work.
brad Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Usually it's just a poor internal connection. I take them apart, clean the contacts, and put them back together with the end caps from a slow blow fuse from my well. The mercury part of the switch is a glass sealed cartridge and it's the outside of that connections, that corrode.
John Brissette Posted 5 hours ago Author Report Posted 5 hours ago Thanks Brad. The replacement I purchased should arrive today. Minor money. I'll try what you did and see if I can do the same. I appreciate your response. John
