'63 Avanti Trunk Light Mercury Switch Failure

The original switch has failed as near as I can tell. What have you used to replace the mercury switch, which to my limited knowledge, are no longer available (NLA)?

Electronics suppliers and Amazon have mercury switches.  They won’t look like the originals but will work.

Usually it's just a poor internal connection. I take them apart, clean the contacts, and put them back together with the end caps from a slow blow fuse from my well. The mercury part of the switch is a glass sealed cartridge and it's the outside of that connections, that corrode.
