I ran across these while looking at merchandise on the SI site. Have not removed a dash yet but assumed the top of the dash was helf by screws and the bottom by rivets, based on various posts I've run across. Where are these clips used? Also, are the dash mounting screws accessed from top or bottom?

Those clips hold the bottom edge of dash pad to fiberglass buck as well as two on either side of glove box opening. Top of fiberglass buck has four studs protruding downwards, the nuts are accessed from underside. I had to fabricate new studs as mine all sheared off in diassembly17403343365872661397906153084870.thumb.jpg.2f6bc80277fd3873d5fd8090e10c82af.jpg

I purchased the dash pad fron SI, fit is fair, maybe abit too much padding behind guages making it a stretch getting top vinyl wrapped over edge by windsheild

I think it is used to fix the padding above the side windows and the roll bar in the middle of the car.

The suggestions above do not match with my findings in my '69 Avanti II

They look like the old clips used to hold door panels to the door.

They are used to hold the frame mount access covers on the front floor. 2 in each.
