Geoff Posted September 29, 2023 Report Posted September 29, 2023 I've looked at SI's site, and if they have the part I cannot see it. I am looking to ditch the center mounted parking brake and window switches in my 1985. I want that beautiful, low profile, locking center console in my car. Is it just a stiff board with vinyl covering? I don't even care about the color as I'd have its upholstery redone, or DIY the thing, if that's how it is put together. That necessitates I put the parking brake back under the dashboard. That's cool. I'd like to acquire those parts too; or I'll fab up the way the C4 has it, to the left of the driver's seat. Either/or. I would also like the pull out vanity within the glove box. Does anybody have these parts, or know where they would be found?
Gunslinger Posted September 30, 2023 Report Posted September 30, 2023 Check with Dan Booth at Nostalgic Motors. The Studebaker parking brake setup parts are probably easier to source than the console mounted parts.
Nelson Posted October 2, 2023 Report Posted October 2, 2023 The vanity I believe is the same as used in the 64 Lark.

JimM Posted October 3, 2023 Report Posted October 3, 2023 If you find the momentary switch that fits on the parking brake shaft, and operates the red light on the dash, please let me know.
