Kyle Posted August 9, 2023 Report Posted August 9, 2023 Looking for water pump housing. The manual states part number is 1555739. The actual crack water pump housing is 1555738. Any body knows the difference? Best source for replacement. Regards
64studeavanti Posted August 9, 2023 Report Posted August 9, 2023 (edited) The number on the housing is the casting number. For Studebakers, the part number is not necessarily the same as the casting number. For replacement, the best you can do is find a good used one for sale. Being a Avanti only part, they are quite rare. FWIW, the R1, R2, and R3 are the same part number. Edited August 9, 2023 by 64studeavanti
