pantera928 Posted December 29, 2022 Report Posted December 29, 2022 With the windows up and cruising down the highway, there is a lot of wind noise coming from the tops of the doors. My seals look to be in good shape and everything seems to line up pretty well but the wind noise is quite prevalent. Is this just the nature of the beast or can anything be done? Thanks

Thanks In my humble opinion, Studebaker Avanti and Avanti ll ( thru '85) door weatherseals leave a lot to be desired!
arkus Posted December 30, 2022 Report Posted December 30, 2022 you can't listen to the radio in my '83, but my '80 is relatively quiet. go figure.
wildfelr Posted December 30, 2022 Report Posted December 30, 2022 RQB3263/81/305 ..... DOES the window go up further with the door open than with the door closed ?

wildfelr Posted December 30, 2022 Report Posted December 30, 2022 RQB3263/81 .... It would appear then that the window regulator/ele. motor is not pushing the window up high enough to seal..... I replaced both regulators in RQB3263 recently (2022) ... it was a project .... but well worth it
wildfelr Posted December 30, 2022 Report Posted December 30, 2022 RQB3263 .... i JUST RE READ YOUR POST....I guess I miss interpreted it.... with the door open can you pull the window up even a small amount from its most up electric position ??...
pantera928 Posted December 30, 2022 Author Report Posted December 30, 2022 Okay, my windows go up fairly tight. Dont see how they could go higher and not interfere with closing the door.
