Leo B Posted November 28, 2022 Report Posted November 28, 2022 Watch out! This is what a 60 year old fuel hose looks like when I took it off.
billsr2 Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 One of the first things I did was to replace all that stuff 15 years ago. Especially on a plastic car.
JimM Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 My mechanic just caught the same potential issue on my 1975 while rebuilding the brakes. Good preventative maintenance.
Skip Lackie Posted December 3, 2022 Report Posted December 3, 2022 That hose on my 74 did me the favor of giving me early warning by starting to drip. As you can imagine, the smell in the garage was pretty strong, but it at least wasn't a flood. I drained the tank right away and fixed it a week or so later.
