Dunkin
Do any of you know what is supposed to secure the two ends of these to the side of the car? Thanks
Nelson
The original Studebaker just used the clips that are hidden. Avanti II may have used a finishing screw at each side to hold up the ends. At least the Avanti IIs I had did it that way. There is a front and back to the pad so make sure it’s correct for the fit, especially the end fit. Dunkin
Yes, the clips are there in a long-slotted hole, which lets the clips fall out nothing on the ends. Thanks for reply
Desert Driver
What holds the clips on the roll bar cover are metal spanners glued to the cover's back. My cover was drooping on one side, so I pulled the whole thing off. The adhesive for several spanners was vaporized, others were very loose. Plus the vinyl material on the cover was coming off. Using silicone adhesive and Gorilla tape, I reglued everything and it went back into place perfectly. (the clips were soaked in PB Blaster over night, and straightened with needle nose pliers before being reattached)
