Avanti Seat!

Sherwood Egbert had an interesting, safety related idea for the right front (passenger) seat of the Avanti ....This idea never came to pass...anyone know what that idea was?

Yes....I'm referring to a  safety mod which concerns the seat itself.

Close enough!.....Egbert apparently had some type of optional restraint system in mind....so that if a mother put her small child on the passenger seat, the baby wouldn't fly into the dashboard in the event of a frontal collision....Talk about VISION!.....What a guy!!
