On a 1964 Studebaker Avanti, the rear end ratio tag is factory installed at the .....?.... o'clock position.

1) Three......2) Five.....3) Six.....or.....4) Seven

I'll have to do something I rarely do -- disagree with Gary. The ratio tag is at the 7:00 position (#4).

Are we looking from the front/input side of the differential or the rear cover side?

From the rear cover side.............you can't see the tag from the input end.
