VtMike Posted January 13, 2021 Report Posted January 13, 2021 I believe I have been told that you can port and polish R1 heads and use them with a supercharger, so I will say Yes, but don't know how you would do it.
brad Posted January 13, 2021 Report Posted January 13, 2021 You probably can take at least 1/2 a point of compression by leaning back the point between the valves, and the shallow end of the chamber. Also some "unshrouding" of the sides on the upright walls. That and use the thicker composition gasket, and you would be there. It would most likely breath and perform better than stock R2, and be less prone to cracking that the R2 heads had.

Dwight FitzSimons Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Wouldn't using the thicker head gaskets make the quench area "thicker" and therefore increase the chances of the engine to ping? -Dwight
