Avanti brakes...

At RQ-B2263, Avanti Motors changed from the original under-dash parking brake pull-handle to one mounted in the former console.  From where did Avanti Motors initially source the new handle from?

Not sure, but always figured it was sourced from Corvette (Generous Motors)

I'll say Willy's but you know I'll dispute 2263 is the first. Switched to, is probably a better term if none after were built with the under dash handle.

Was the Willys lever used on a few Avanti ll's before Avanti Motors changed to the Corvette lever?? (Interesting!)

That's it!  Avanti Motors first used a handle from Willy's before switching to a C3 Corvette handle after several dozen Avantis were equipped with the Willy's brake handle.
