  1. Go for it Dwight. We are all counting on you!!! lol I'm getting ready to paint mine so I'm actually interested in knowing.
  2. Dwight, are we certain that the superchargers from the factory had unpainted screws? I would think that the supercharger was painted as an assembly such the the body including screws were painted orange, but not sure on this. Is there any documentation to state one way or the other?
  3. There is no definitive answer on the original supercharger colors. Some believe that very early Avantis had black then they switched to orange for the duration. Rebuilt superchargers were definitely black.
  4. I have what I think is a pair of unused R3 headers. Three pictures are attached. Please help to answer a few questions. -The left and right look exactly the same. -These don't have the alternator bracket sticking out of the front of the passenger side. -There is a part number 1558353 cast on the right horizontal face on each. On the other front face is cast 206-86. -Pictures of the reproductions don't seem to have a number. What do I have? What models do these fit? Thanks
  5. aardvark, please tell us about the one that sold for over $100K. Even over $50k is hard to believe these days.
  6. Monday through Wednesday? Why is this during the week? Seems like max participation would occur over a Saturday.
  7. How do you bench bleed the master cylinder? Wouldn't the fluid leak out the bottom? I've rebuilt a bunch of these and never did that.
  8. I've been around Avantis forever and have heard many Avanti folks refer to "all" speckled colored carpeting as salt and pepper. Based on my history, it's odd to limit the term to just tan and black.
  9. False. R3
  10. Message sent on the wheel covers.
  11. Jim, I am interested in the wire wheel covers. Jeff
  12. I am in need of rear seats in black for 1963 or 1964 Avantis. Hoping for excellent condition. Please let me know if you have any leads. Would also be interested in fronts if you know of any. Thanks, Jeff jeffbradel@gmail.com
