WOW you have really transformed a ugly duck into a beauty. Folks that have never done body restoration can't understand the amount of time and effort put into your new car. Thanks for the video and update, you should be really proud of all the hard work and what you now have.

i would doubt it, the '91 is, as i understand it, a quite different animal. could yours be for sale?
I just bought it last December from a fellow in San Jose, Ca that had owned it for 24 years. I suppose everything is for sale but had not given it any thought. Feel free to contact me at weighit@gmail.com

I have a 1991 conv do you think the wiring harness map would be close to the same for me as the 1987? If it is even close I will be a buyer.

I think they were pretty skinny so 6.70X15 is a good guess.

In Michigan Fini Finish is known as the place to go for chrome. Here
They will need to see the item to give a exact price but maybe a phone call will give a ballpark?

I just wrote in another area on this web site about that same company. I didn't go far enough down to this area otherwise I would have posted here. Great company to work with.

I own a 1991 Convertible that had both rear quarter windows that were inoperative. When I got the units out so I could look at them the motors were rusted and seized . They were beyond my ability to repair so found Window Motor World in Palm Coast, Fl on one of the Avanti sites. Contacted them and asked the normal questions and got what I was sure truthful answers. Sent the units off for them to repair. They came back today, they look like new, better than I felt they were ever going to look. Turn around time was less than 1 week from the time I shipped. They also do door motors and I know I will pull both of mine out this winter and send them off to these folks for fixing too. Just wanted to pass along the information about a company that does great work. So often we have to complain about something but when a company like this does this kind of work we should all know about them.

I paid to buy a 2500 stall converter in my old Chevy, so I'm going to guess the original was 1600.

I believe that is true, as GM didn't change over till around 1995 I think.

From the older Corvette is my Guess

Pontiac Bonneville is what I think they look like.

Happen to be in Michigan and stopped into Nostalgic Motors and talked with Dan Booth. He felt the windshield is actually the same, except it is going to be missing the black screen color that is imprinted on the inside edges of my conv glass. He said he had no parts for those convertibles but was certain they will fit. He also said if anything I might have to trim the glass ever so slightly. So when we return to Az I will investigate further.
-
I think the same way, if I was in real need I would pay for the 20 and fix my car. But I was under the impression that all the convertibles would use the same glass, and if that is the case, we are ALL in the same boat, no windshields for these cars. At least that I can find so far.

Well so far I have about 3 hours of internet hunting and phone calls with a couple of email replies, not a windshield to be found, yet. If I was to have an accident, or some rock smashes into the windshield, would the insurance company total out my car?? If you can't see through a smashed glass, the car is unusable. This is going to be fun trying to find a glass. What are others doing?

The fellow said it might cross with a Cadillac Allante, but the installer came out and looked and said no way. Mine is curved too much on the ends? I'm not sure if the 1991 is totally different from any other year conv or not. I said the same thing to him, heck if I order 20 I'd be stuck with probably 19 of them forever!! That is unless the 4 door models use the same glass, but he was unable to even find that glass part number.
-
My original windshield is delaminating and is slightly giving a distorted view along the bottom. Stopped at the biggest glass shop here in my town and asked about a replacement. After him calling all his contacts, about 4 different other places, he said, well, looks like that glass is discontinued and no longer made! Anyone have a suggestion for my 1991 convertible glass? He said if I wanted to order 20, they would make them as a special run of windshields. No not interested in buying that many.

I guess $2200 as the car was 6 years old by then.
-
Things (gas) were pretty inexpensive in 1967, so I will guess $100.00
-
I think they had to plan at least 1 year out so I will say 1 year.

How about for show cars? To see if it would be accepted to the public?

Looks like you get a great turn out at your gatherings.

Tire sizes

Ya know I never looked or measured but I think your correct, mine does appear to be more flared. I wanted to fill the openings with as much tire as I could.
