Just using regnalbob's listing of the various vehicles owned by the buyers I added up all the GM models and that comes to 399, well beyond the Strudebaker owners. So I have to believe GM is the correct answer to the orignal question.

When I had the blasting company we would get in various impossible to find gas tanks that had been cut in half so we could gently blast the inside of the rusty crud. They then rewelded and used a sealer to seal the blasted inside. A lot cheaper than trying to buy or build a new tank in those cases.
