I agree with you. Altman probably would have placed a speaker there if the buyer absolutely insisted, but it was normally not a part of the 'modern' radio package. Answer....FALSE!

Interesting pictures!...My first Avanti, 63R-3623, had a badly broken driver's seat frame when I purchased the car. I'll bet many '63 avanti seats fractured like that....and I can definitely understand Studebaker beefing up the seat frames on later cars.

Perfect answer!!...No extra wear on the crank gear, and the only real negative (?) is incresed noise between the two metal gears as opposed to a fiber and metal gear.

Wow!...That really is a 'thorough' job Gunslinger!.....The only other one that I had, and I'm not sure if Altman really eliminated it or not, was the tire warning decal inside the glove box.....That had 'STUDEBAKER' on it too!
