WayneC Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 I generally place the jack under the frame beneath the firewall, or just in front of the frame kick-up for the rear wheels. I prefer to use ramps if the car is mobile and I'm not removing a wheel.
studegary Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 If you want to lift everything together, you can jack the front under the A-arms and the rear under the spring plate where it mounts to the axle.
silverstude Posted April 12, 2018 Report Posted April 12, 2018 one jack on the axle pot, the other on the center pin of the front crossmember. Once up, place jack stands at the frame points mentioned above
dynolou2 Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 I also use the center pin and center of rear diff.. I place front stands under under lower a arms, for the rear depending if you are working on rear axle, place at front of rear spring mount. If you don't I place stands under the sway bar mount on the rear spring pads. My special built stands start at 19 1/2 " and telescope to 26 1/2 " Lou Cote
