R3 Tires

From today's perspective, I would think that Avantis with the R3 option package would have blackwall tires, but that wasn't the case.   Of the nine production R3 Avantis, how many had whitewalls and how many had blackwalls?    

(It's been days since the last new trivia question, so I thought that I would insert one again.)

I think only one had blackwalls. So eight (8) had whitewalls, and one (1) had blackwalls. And I believe they were all Firestone 500s.

Correct and correct.  I figured that someone, like you, would have a way to look this up quickly.

As a second adder to this - I believe that the one with blackwalls was also the only one with a tilt column.

That's true!...the 'production' R3 Studebaker Avanti fitted with blackwall  '500' tires (R5593), was also equipped with the optional tilt steering column!
