Transistorized ignition was standard equipment on every R3 powered (production)  car (10 vehicles) built by Studebaker.......True?

I will say TRUE since Sales Letter 161 dated 6/10/63 states that the "...R3...engine and the performance package...includes...Transistorized ignition system..."

Always thought there were only 9 production R3's ,so,on a technicality,I'll call it false.

MFG didn't specify Avantis when he said production R3's.  I read the question as Studebaker R3's in general.  Didn't they put a R3 in a Lark too?

I say false on the transistor ignition... Without technicality

Yes that's right....nine Avantis and one '64 commander sedan.
