mfg Posted November 18, 2017 Report Posted November 18, 2017 The self adjusting fuel mixture solenoid on an '81-'85 Avanti Quadrajet carburetor is controlled by the onboard computer, which itself receives constant signals from the .......?.......
Avanti83 Posted November 18, 2017 Report Posted November 18, 2017 I'm probably over reading this question but if the engine is running, all the sensors that the computer monitors produce a voltage input O2, MAP, TPS among them. Those are all constant output but variable voltage so the computer can compare them and adjust accordingly. So I guess the answer needs to be "sensors"

brad Posted November 19, 2017 Report Posted November 19, 2017 The TPS is also built into the carburetor, and is activated by a small plastic pin that is depressed by the accelerator pump arm. Care must be taken so that pins isn't broken on assembly by depressing it with a small pick when the top is reinstalled.
