Why did Studebaker management 'walk' two prototype Avantis through the South Bend plant (Avanti assembly areas) before '63 Avanti production commenced?

To make sure everything was done exactly correct.  Weren't these the two Avantis that were flown around the country for introduction?

I think you've got this one Gary!....The cars were brought through to decide on placement of materials, supplies, etc.

No idea if these two were the 'Operation Airlift' Avantis.
