While Avanti Motors was owned by the Altman's, no new Avanti ever left the factory with tu-tone exterior paint......True?

I am pretty sure that when i was much younger that I saw one or two new Avantis with a two tone paint job.

I would say true since the Altmans tended to stay closer to the original Studebaker Avanti than the later owners did.

Tough call but along the lines of the customer is always right, I'm pretty sure he would paint one that way if a customer asked. He changed the 400 to a 350 in my 74 when the OP asked so I'll say false.

Ted Dimon & Avanti 83, you are both correct. There was AT LEAST ONE Avanti ll sold by the Altman's with tu-tone paint! (RQB-3508)
